Roles & Permissions (RBAC)

Manage your team with Z-UCP's granular role system.

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

Z-UCP uses a powerful Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system. You can create as many roles as you want and assign them specific permissions.

Role Hierarchy

Roles in Z-UCP have an inherent hierarchy. This means:

  1. SuperAdmin: The highest role of the project (owner). Can do everything.
  2. Administrator: Has extensive rights but cannot delete other admins.
  3. Moderator: Focus on player management (bans, kicks).
  4. Support: Restricted rights, e.g., only tickets and player info.

Managing Permissions

In the project settings under "Roles", you can assign each role hundreds of individual rights. Examples of permissions:

  • player.view: View player profiles.
  • player.ban: Ban players.
  • cms.edit: Edit the landing page.
  • database.read: View the database.
  • database.write: Change database values.

Team Management

You can invite team members to your project via their Discord account. Just assign them the appropriate role after they join.

Be careful who you give the database.write permission to. With this role, direct changes can be made to your ingame data!
